Saturday, May 26th at 1:00 p.m. at Post Falls Library: Digging Family Roots: DNA, Genetic Identity and Genealogy Your DNA reveals a lot about you and your family history, especially when combined with traditional research. You’ll leave with the basics of genetic genealogy and how online resources can connect you to distant relations while proving your family tree.
You will find your ancestors in their migrations routes and along pioneer paths. This 5-month series will take you step-by-step through the arduous paper trail from gathering documents to locating your ancestors from Georgia to New England and beyond. This includes using Ancestry.com, FamilySearch.org, and free sites to access vital records, passenger lists, church records, and connect with your DNA cousins.
